Called to the Gambian Bar and enrolled in 2016, Elizabeth is a Legal Practitioner licensed to practice law in The Gambia.

Elizabeth is affiliated to and a member of The Gambia Bar Association (GBA), the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association (CMJA), the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) (member of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Committee) and an Expert Contributor to the World Bank Group Women, Business and the Law, and the Female Lawyers Association-Gambia (FLAG).

As manager, Elizabeth brings a decade of experience as a professional in the legal field. She has extensive knowledge in the areas of litigation, court procedures and processes. She has honed her skills in advocacy, drafting, excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, leadership, office management and IT.

Elizabeth’s academic journey dates as far back as 2006. She is a graduate of The Gambia Methodist Academy, Gambia Technical Training Institute, University of The Gambia, Law Faculty, and The Gambia Law School.

Her professional career kickstarted in 2009, where she landed a job at the Female Lawyers Association Gambia as Legal Assistant, helping women and children gain access to justice through sensitization programmes, and was instrumental in the simplification of the Children’s Act 2009 and Women’s Act 2013. Then on, she progressed to being appointed to serve in the third arm of Government, Judiciary with the designated title, Magistrate-First Class. In this role, she served in various ranks, as, Chairpersons of the Election Court in Northbank in 2016, and the Industrial Tribunal for claims of unfair dismissal, termination, injury at the workplace, just to name but a few. She equally presided over voluminous civil and criminal cases ranging from rent, narcotic, human trafficking, sexual offences, domestic violence, traffic offences, bail, land disputes, contracts, torts, interlocutory and exparte application, injunctions, etc. She was proactive in ensuring the fair and swift dispensation of justice.

In further demonstration of her leadership qualities, Elizabeth was engaged as Associate Member of Chambers at Harriet Martha N’dow Law Chambers, where she demonstrated exceptional legal expertise and professionalism, a team player who fosters positive relationships with colleagues, staff and clients.

Outside of her career, Elizabeth is a gifted and anointed gospel singer, songwriter, teacher to young children, a public speaker, a mentor and an inspiration to young people. She is a happy and proud mother to a blessed child. She prides herself in being a member of the Network of Biblical Storytellers NBS-Gambia.

Elizabeth is passionate about human rights, defending the rights of women, children and the underprivileged.
